Fascinated with the jewellery and objects adorned by the previous generations and tribal groups, Amrapali founders Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera began the label for a passion of reviving Indian art forms. The journey of the brand that began in 1978, led the two partners to embark on a six-year project in 2012. The result of that project was the Amrapali Museum that opened in 2018 in the pink city of India, Jaipur.
The two-floor museum built with a love to explore century-old art and the everyday lives of Indian tribes pays tribute to the incredible heritage and legacy of our country. It is curated with age-old silver and gold objects of adornment and jewellery that we donโt get to see elsewhere. With every step and every sight, the Amrapali museum tells us a beautiful story of our culture, teaches us how the art of ornamentation is an integral part of our lives and how heirloom jewellery has made us who we are.
